What to Expect

Your knotless braids are designed to last 6-8 weeks with proper care. Depending on your natural hair texture, some frizzing may occur sooner this is completely normal and adds character to your style. If you have blunt-cut ends, they may loosen slightly before the rest of the braid, which is a natural part of the wear pattern.

For Shorter Natural Hair

If your natural hair is very short, your braids may have a shorter lifespan. This is completely normal the style is still beautiful, but gentle handling and avoiding tugging will help maximize wear time.

Longevity Tips

Limit heavy products that cause buildup. Keep conditioning to under 5 minutes when cleansing. Avoid tugging or pulling on the braids. Refresh your edges with a light edge control as needed.

Gentle Handling is Essential

Always brush from the tips and work your way up to the roots do not brush downward. Use your fingers or a loop brush designed for curly textures. Avoid tugging, pulling, or excessive manipulation of the curly sections. Minimize touching and playing with the hair throughout the day.

Synthetic Boho Hair

Synthetic boho pieces should not be manipulated too much. Over-handling can cause premature shedding and frizzing. Treat this hair delicately.

Curl Refreshing

Mix a small amount of leave-in conditioner with water in a spray bottle. Lightly mist the curly sections to revive curl pattern. Scrunch gently and allow to air dry. Do not oversaturate a light mist is all you need.

Water Precautions

Salt water and chlorine can cause severe tangling and matting in boho hair. If you plan to swim, braid your hair into two large plaits and wear a swim cap for maximum protection. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water immediately after swimming.
