Salon Policies

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING

At Jolieden’s Beauty Bar, we are committed to delivering a refined, professional, and thoughtful experience for every client. Our policies are designed to protect the integrity of our services while ensuring a seamless and enjoyable visit for both our guests and our team.

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined below.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

  • All appointments are accepted exclusively through our website
  • Availability is reflected in real time on our booking platform
  • We recommend booking at least 14 days in advance to secure your preferred time
  • Your remaining balance is clearly outlined in your confirmation email
  • A card on file is required solely to secure your appointment
  • Cards are not charged online
  • We accept cash & card

AGE & ELIGIBILITY

  • We proudly service clients ages 10 and up
  • We do not style small children
  • Hair must be a minimum of 3 inches in length for most styles
  • We do not accept severe alopecia cases
  • We do not braid over locs or crochet styles
  • If you are unsure whether a style is suitable for your hair, please email

HAIR PREPARATION

  • Clients must arrive with hair cleansed, fully dried, detangled, and free of product
  • Hair containing product will require a wash and blow-dry prior to service at an additional charge
  • Hair must be free of glue, gels, and heavy buildup to ensure optimal results

Wash & Blow-Dry

  • Available upon request before your appointment
  • Price: $30
  • Professional shampoo and conditioner is provided
  • Clients are welcome to bring preferred products if desired

SCALP SENSITIVITY & ALLERGIES

  • Please inform your stylist if you are tender-headed before service begins
  • Comfort is a priority, and individual tolerance levels may vary
  • If you have known allergies or sensitivities, we kindly ask that you notify us in advance

Hypoallergenic Hair Notice

  • ACV wash services for guests with sensitive scalps. For those who need an extra layer of care, we recommend bringing in hypoallergenic hair
  • Clients with sensitivities, allergies to braiding hair, or those who prefer non-toxic options are encouraged to bring pre-washed or hypoallergenic braiding hair
  • Jolieden’s Beauty Bar cannot assume responsibility for reactions related to hair provided by the client
  • For guidance, please refer to our FAQ for recommended hair options

HAIR & EXTENSIONS POLICY

  • Standard synthetic braiding hair is included with most braiding services
  • Textured hair is not provided by the salon
  • This includes bohemian curls, kinky hair, and crochet hair

Human Hair Use

  • We do not braid down with human hair
  • Human hair is permitted exclusively for loose curls in the following styles

– Boho Knotless Braids
– Gypsy Braids
– Bora Bora Braids

TIMING & LATE ARRIVALS

  • Your appointment time begins when you enter the salon, not when you are seated

  • Hair sectioning and preparation may take 1 to 1.5 hours and is included in your scheduled time

  • We kindly ask clients to plan accordingly and arrive promptly

  • Arrivals exceeding 30 minutes will result in automatic cancellation

CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

  • One courtesy reschedule may be extended in cases of illness or verified travel disruptions

  • A second cancellation within 24 hours will result in a 50% service charge

  • A third occurrence will result in a full charge and permanent restriction from future bookings

  • No-call, no-shows will be permanently removed from our booking system

AFTERCARE & REFUNDS

  • Once services are completed and you leave the salon, hair care becomes the client’s responsibility
  • Clients have 24 hours following their appointment to report any concerns
  • After this period, adjustments, touch-ups are not available
  • In rare instances of dissatisfaction, we may offer to remove the style at no charge
  • Once you leave the salon, refunds are not issued under any circumstances

Please note that certain styles, including French Curl and Bohemian styles, may naturally loosen, shed, or tangle more easily due to texture and hair quality. Proper care and handling are essential to maintain longevity and appearance.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Jolieden’s Beauty Bar reserves the right to decline service to anyone.

We ask that all guests and team members enter the space with respect and positive energy. Any form of disrespect, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior toward our staff will result in immediate dismissal from the salon and permanent restriction from future bookings.
